Iranian Ambassador Presents Credentials to King of Cambodia

H. E. Mr. Ali Akbar Nazari, Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Vietnam and accredited to Cambodia, presented his credentials to His Majesty King Norodom Sihamoni in Phnom Penh on Friday, 18th February 2022. In the ceremony, the Iranian ambassador, while referring to the friendly relations between the two countries and constructive cooperation in bilateral, regional and multilateral frameworks, announced Iran's readiness to further deepen and strengthen relations due to the existence of great potential for cooperation in various fields, including oil, gas, petrochemicals, trade, export of technical and engineering services to Cambodia and expansion of sports and tourism cooperation.
His Majesty King of Cambodia, while conveying his greetings to H.E.Mr Raeesi, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, welcomed the expansion of relations and cooperation between the two countries and emphasized the need for greater mobility to take lasting steps to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations in 2022. His Majesty also called for the investment of Iranian companies in various fields and paving the way for training and empowerment of Cambodian officials in specialized fields including oil, gas and agriculture.
