H.E Mr. Nazari Meets with Minister of Culture and Fine Arts of the Kingdom of Cambodia

His Excellency Mr. Ali Akbar Nazari, the accredited Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kingdom of Cambodia, met with Her Excellency Mrs. Phoeurng Sackona, Minister of Culture and Fine Arts of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on Monday, January 13, 2025.

During the meeting, H.E Mr. Nazari highlighted the shared Asian heritage and extensive cultural commonalities between the two countries. He pointed out various opportunities for bilateral and multilateral cooperation, proposing the organization of the first Iranian Film Week and a cultural and handicrafts exhibition. He also expressed Iran’s readiness to offer academic scholarships to Cambodian students and extended an invitation to the Minister to visit Iran to explore its rich cultural, artistic, and civilizational heritage.

H.E Mrs. Sackona welcomed the Iranian ambassador, praised Iran’s rich culture and civilization, and expressed her enthusiasm for visiting Iran and meeting with her Iranian counterpart. She also welcomed the proposal to offer scholarships to Cambodian students and artists, hold a Film Week, and organize a handicrafts exhibition. Additionally, she affirmed the readiness of Cambodia’s Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts to collaborate in implementing these initiatives.
