H.E Mr. Nazari Meets with Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology of the Kingdom of Cambodia

His Excellency Mr. Ali Akbar Nazari, the accredited Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kingdom of Cambodia, met with His Excellency Mr. Thor Chatha, Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology of the Kingdom of Cambodia, on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

During the meeting, Minister Chatha outlined the government’s priority to transition from an agriculture-based economy to industrialization. He emphasized Cambodia’s need for advanced technology and modern equipment in dam management, as well as the enhancement of human resource expertise in meteorology for efficient water resource management. He called for cooperation from friendly countries, including Iran, in these areas.

H.E Mr. Nazari, in response, highlighted the strong commitment of high-ranking officials from both countries to expanding cooperation. He emphasized Iran’s significant capabilities in dam construction, training, and scholarship opportunities for students, as well as the potential for collaboration in meteorology and rainfall risk management using indigenous satellite technology. He reiterated Iran’s readiness to cooperate in these fields.
