H.E Mr. Nazari Meets with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia

His Excellency Mr. Ali Akbar Nazari, the accredited Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to  the Kingdom of Cambodia, met with His Excellency Mr. Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

During the meeting, H.E Mr. Nazari highlighted the friendly and warm political relations between Iran and Cambodia and underscored the need to accelerate political and economic cooperation. On behalf of H.E Mr. Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, he invited H.E Mr. Sokhonn to visit Tehran for discussions on the vast cooperation opportunities between the two countries. He also requested the Minister’s support and directives to expedite the establishment of a Joint Economic Commission, the signing of cooperation agreements, and the holding of a Political Consultative Committee meeting.

Minister Sokhonn expressed his appreciation for H.E Mr. Araghchi’s invitation and his interest in visiting Iran. He assured that the visit is on his agenda and further expressed his willingness to host the Iranian Foreign Minister during his regional travel in Cambodia.
