H.E Mr. Nazari Meets with the President of the National Assembly of Cambodia

His Excellency Mr. Ali Akbar Nazari, the accredited Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Kingdom of Cambodia, met with Her Excellency Mrs. Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, on Tuesday, January 14, 2025.

During the meeting, H.E Mrs. Sudary once again expressed her condolences on the martyrdom of the late President of Iran and the late Minister of Foreign Affairs in the helicopter crash. She also expressed satisfaction with the friendly relations between the two countries and emphasized the necessity of strengthening bilateral relations in all fields, particularly parliamentary cooperation.

H.E Mr. Nazari congratulated Mrs. Sudary on her election as President of the National Assembly and praised Cambodia’s economic achievements, particularly its 6% economic growth in 2024. He also expressed his gratitude for her condolences regarding the martyrdom of Iranian officials. Highlighting the warm and friendly relations between Iran and Cambodia since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1992, he reaffirmed Iran’s readiness to cooperate in all areas. He emphasized the role of parliaments and parliamentary friendship groups in enhancing cooperation and, on behalf of H.E Mr. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, President of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, invited Mrs. Sudary for an official visit to Iran, which she warmly welcomed.
